I like her better in this than the original...

Seriously, why can't you understand people have different views than you?

But Gandalf! I don't want to be a Hobbit~~

I wish Judy Greer played it the same way in the 2013 version.

Both the actress and character were great.

I agree! I think Rena's Miss D. was the best (or at least tied with Miss Collins). She was certainly better than Judy Greer's (sorry, Judy!).

One question I have is why did they change the spelling from "Desjardin" to "Desjarden?" And how do we know this? Just from the cast list in the end credits? Or is it shown somewhere in the movie & I just missed it?

Hated Rena's take. Doesn't she slam a student into a locker? Yeah, she'd never get the job

Scorpion, you say that Rena was too aggressive when in the original Miss Collins slaps Chris across the face and threatens her that she will knock her down and after what Chris and her friends did to her Chris deserved to get thrown into the locker. What Chris did to Carrie was just awful and deserved what she got.

it's what happened in the book. Also threatened to throw her across the room.

I agree! This is my favorite version of the character. She was fierce as *beep*. Betty Buckley's Miss Collins was really good too. Judy Greer's version was definitely the weakest. She was miscast.
