Dear God, why did this happen? (Spoilers)

I finally saw this piece of rubbish, and good God, Carrie 2013 may have been a stretch, but this literally takes the material and defecates all over it.

Sorry, Carrie does not deserve to live happily ever after. Maybe Chris and her cronies deserved what they got, but lest we forget that she also murdered countless innocent people. It's one thing to view her as a tormented protagonist who finds peace in her tragic end, but her and Sue driving off into the sunset as though she's done nothing wrong, well that's just an awful way to end it.

She doesn´t live happily ever after. She has to hide for the rest of her life. It was also the pilot of a tv series, not to mention the fact, that she was not aware of what she was doing.

This ending to this version is total BS. But I'm a fan of the book, so.....

The ending was meant for a tv show. I enjoyed it regardless of the flaws

They didn't "drive off into the sunset as though she's done nothing wrong". And don't forget the testimonies of all the survivors. You talk about all the people that Carrie killed? Yes she did, but do you also think the survivors are wrong for not telling the detective the truth? I don't know whether any of them knew that Carrie was alive, but all of them, even though they all saw their friends and teachers dying or likely thought they would die, they all flatly refused to be hostile towards Carrie and none of them blamed her for what happened. I'm not going to say it is right or wrong what they did, but maybe they all thought that, since many of them never were truly nice to Carrie and some were mean to her, that they should be silent about her actions. It was their decision to do this. They were there at the school, not you or me.
