Finally! A DVD release update...

Attention American Dreams Fans!

Jonathan Prince and the other creators/producers of American Dreams are currently in negotiations to release ALL THREE seasons of our favorite show on DVD. According to Mr. Prince, here is what you can expect when they are released:

“We will have ALL THREE SEASONS of 'American Dreams' on DVD, with bonus material, plans for a videotaped cast REUNION, as well as the 8 minute "Finale" that never aired, showing what happened to everyone in the show....”

An outpouring of fan support would help them greatly during this time. How can you help? Send an email to the address below.

Email tips:

- Make them relatively short and to the point.
- Let them know that you will DEFINITELY be buying the DVDs
- Why you liked the show, what it meant to you, etc...

These emails will likely be reviewed by Mr. Prince and other executives, so please check your spelling, etc…

This is SUCH GOOD NEWS for all of us who have been waiting to see Seasons Two and Three debut on DVD. Your emails will help the negotiation process. So email soon, and spread the word to other AD fans so they can email us, too!

Would the cast reunion just be the cast sitting around talking, or would it be a reunion episode?

Q: I've heard that the delay in releasing Seasons 2 and 3 is due to negotiations for music rights. Also, people think that the most high profile songs and best musical moments of the show will be replaced with "cheaper" songs. Is this true?

A: This is straight from executive producer/creator Jonathan Prince regarding delay because of music rights: "No. That's not it at all." Regarding the high profile songs being replaced: "One need only see what we did on the first season to see how we handled that issue." An update straight from Jonathan Prince:

"Please let all of the AMERICAN DREAMS faithful know that all of their emails have been extremely helpful as we push toward our two goals: first, to finally put together a syndication deal so that they can watch all three seasons of "American Dreams" on TV (not yet sure if we'll be broadcast or cable), and second, to release the show (as well as the unaired "epilogue") on DVD."

I too have sent an email explaining my strong desire to own the series. This was one program which was devastating to see cancelled. NBC effectively ruined it's chances of any long term run. I just wish another network would have tried to pick it up. I don't believe for a second that it was unsuccessful.

I am still accepting emails regarding the release of S2 and S3 on DVD. So if haven't written yet... what are you waiting for?

I have received SO MANY emails... and I was surprised to see so many International fans... from Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, Denmark, Sweden, Russia, England, Ireland, Italy, Australia... it has been so exciting.

I don't have any big news (such as a release date) but Mr. Prince assured me they are still in serious negotiations, and we are still accepting emails. Thanks! :)

I blindbought Season 1 last year and watched the whole thing and I've been wanting to see Season's 2 and 3 for a long time but I want to watch them on dvd.

So this will be great.

Either on DVD or bluray, or even just put the rest of the series to stream on Netflix or Hulu plus. Even without all of the extras, I'd love to be able to watch the rest of the series in its entirety again someday.

If you know how to download from torrent sites, all 3 seasons of AD are available on kickass torrents, and The pirate bay.....between the 2 sites I found all tree seasons....the last 2 seasons were taped off tv and don't have the best pictures, a little fuzzy like old video taped shows are, but very watchable if you have never seen them, and all commercial free......... I am really enjoying them, I have seen them before, but not for many years.......
if you are not familiar with the world of torrents, go to about.com it explains it, and if you don't under stand it..... I will come back here in a few days, and see if I can help, you really only need to download 3 free programs, never pay for any torrent programs or sites........

The shows also pop up on foreign 'youtube like' video sites which are anchored in countries that don't recognise copyright laws. You'll have to navigate through a menu in a foreign, asian language but it works pretty much the same as youtube.
