It's funny that I would find this thread. I actually saw this movie not to long ago. This is a funny little movie. Not hilarious or anything but funny in a goofy kind of way.

A few spoilers ahead...

Sammi Cheng meets this guy who she eventually marries after like a week. The guy is rich and his family owns some business in which they make women's bags (if I remember correctly.) Anyhow, her in laws are constantly hounding her to get up and work after the death of her husband. One night while she's drinking and driving she crashs into an unfinished exit in the road and for a split second is a ghost. She meets a ghost who scares her back into her body saying it is not her time to go yet. She then winds up in a hospital and finds out that she can only see ghosts in... her left eye. The ghost which she met at the accident is a guardian ghost of a kid she went to school with. However, this is not entirely true. The appearance of this ghost is meant to look like this old schoolmate however, the real identity of the ghost is not revealed into the end of the movie. I won't ruin that part. The main character then encounters more ghosts, saves some dog's life, and wards off men by spraying them with mace and hitting them with stun guns, etc. And there is also a fat ghost who can't get enough to eat who possesses Sammi Cheng and her sister in law.

..it seem like it would be a funny movie to add to my collection of Japanese horror movies.

It's not a horror AT ALL. It's more drama...romance.... and tries to be comedy but I found it to be really cheesy. And some of the acting, OMG, the girl who playes Daniel's ex was awful and so was Sammi Cheng in parts.

I'd say watch it if you have nothing better to do, or if you're a hardcore fan of cheesy Hong Kong comedies.

It's not an horror, but a comedy?? well, usually only like horror, but I would give it a try, the next time it's on cable. I have never watch bad hong kong comedies.
