I liked this harmless little fantasy movie and its happy ending. My own dog was a registered therapy dog with over 800 hours of service, so I know the good that these dogs can do. However, Kate Jackson was 55 years old when this movie was released, yet told her husband at the end that she was pregnant. Isn't that taking the fantasy thing a little too far?!?

Well does being 55 in real life mean she was 55 in the movie. She could have been playing a woman in her 40s in the movie. Their kid looked to be between 8 to 10 yrs old so she would have had him in her 30s if she was playing a 40 something yr old. But I agree it was a miracle dog so for her to suddenly be pregnant at the time her son is close to 10 is a big span of yrs between the kids.
shareThe infrastructure may be 55, but I suspect parts of her are much younger. Regardless, I didn't run to the Internet to look up her age when I found out her character was pregnant. I assumed the couple were in their early to mid-40s.
