Similarity to Dead Mans Shoes

I've not seen ISWID yet but the trailer does show remarkable similarity to Dead Mans Shoes which itself is one of the most unsettling yet brilliant movies I've seen in a very long time. Get Carter is one of my all time favourite movies but everything Mike Hodges has done since has been well ropey. However I will watch ISWID just to see the delectable Jonathan Rhys Meyers, even if he does get anally violated....

Dead Man's Shoes was disappointingly bad - this is worse. Something about British films of this type which are just.....CR*P. Crictics rave about them - WHY? This film is about as exciting/suspense filled as a stale sausage roll. The whole thing could have been covered (with more excitement) in a episode of the Bill. No character development, no suspense, no ending....Rubbish. Only ever one half decent Brit flick in recent times - Lock Stock and that was overhyped.

I have to disagree about Dead Man's Shoes it a brilliant powerful film about revenge. I would say there no similarties other than the theme revenge between two films.
