HOW THE HELL IS THIS TOO EASY!?

LOL. I went into this game trilogy (I got the HD Collection a couple weeks ago) and beat DMC1 within 11 hours, and only died about three times. It was fun and wasn't such a big deal (although I might've been playing on easy, so maybe that's why). Then when I read the Wikipedia reviews and everyone else's reviews they complained DMC2 was too easy, so I was expecting to fly through it in half the time it took to beat DMC1.
I died twenty-seven times. On easy. Either I really suck at this, or everyone else is Asian (LOL sorry, no offense intended). Then again, I'm not much of a gamer so that may be another reason why. I didn't hate the game (the possessed chopper fight and the raid on the skyscraper were my favourite parts of the game, but DAMN THAT POSSESSED BUILDING!!), but it just seems like I'm in the minority when I say this game is extremely hard.
And then I read the complaints about DMC3 being too difficult... uh-oh...
