Why does Emmerich think that the British Royal Family is the highest priority?

He had the helicopters freezing up and coming down over Scotland in the extreme cold, and in 2012 he had the Queen with a couple of Corgis boarding the ark.

Seriously, if such disasters were to occur, we would not be saving the Royal Family AT ALL, as they're only there as figureheads to represent our culture and have no real power. And what would be the point? Elizabeth II is too old, and as for the Duke of Edinburgh, he's a definite liability with his reckless driving at his extreme age.

So why would we be saving such old fogies? The Royal Family has not had much influence at all in the last few decades, and it has nearly fractured so many times. In a new world, we should let them die out.

sadly, those stupid english people still think they need a queen

Not so much need, more want a Queen.

Because Americans think of them as a huge part of British culture. These films are aimed at Americans. There are pointless Royal families throughout Europe, they are a draw for wealthy tourists. As such, this makes them economicly important .

I generally agree with your statement about their ages, but the younger Royals would definitely be saved in this situation as a boost to morale coming out of the catastrophe.

Why does Emmerich think that ManU would beat Celtic 3-0, the man's a knobber that's why.

Honey, the monarch has to own helicopters. And Wiliam can fly them.

They wouldn't sit there waiting for the public to come to a consesus about their importance, they'd be out of there the moment they decided to go.
