Like all the posts that claim "the science"* is right but don't explain how it's right?

I'm agree that humans are changing the climate but most of the talking heads out there do little to convince and even less to lead the way. If you really have a conviction in this science* and you're not doing everything within reason** to reduce your carbon footprint then you're no different then the people who don't "believe" at all.

*Let's be honest here, there is no singular working model and most of what's in the mainstream is alarmist and quickly dismissed because, frankly, it doesn't happen. We need sane voices with realistic predictions but that kind of information doesn't sell papers or raise viewership so it's left aside.

**Have no kids, minimum car usage and stop eating meat. Stop using plastics and going on vacation while you're at it. If you're not doing these things then you have no right to consider yourself an environmentalist.

First off, there's no such thing as "land hurricanes." Hurricanes are ocean-based storms, and they always die out when they go over land, because they run out of fuel (water vapor) from the ocean. Second, even the worst ice storm in history would not freeze anything as fast as the eyes of those fake land-hurricanes did. Third, the polar icecaps are not breaking up as fast as the movie claims.

You're confusing climate and weather.

If it gets hotter it's because of global warming
If it gets colder it's because of global warming
If it rains more it's because of global warming
If it rains less it's because of global warming

It's a disaster movie not a documentary. I wish we could just stick to talking about the movie itself, and stop running each other down with politics and personal remarks.

That's how I watched it, 12 years after it was released. But you can't deny it was used as propaganda during it's initial run. Thus the debate is warranted.

I agree with everything you said except the word 'our'. I would use the word 'their'. I hate being slotted into categories just because of what or where I was born.
