During a scene where Dennis Quaid draws a line across a map saying that everyone north of it was too late to be saved, the entirety of Canada was included.
Why didn't the film explain, or even mention, what happened to all the Canadians?

They were screwed. The US would never have been able to rescue/recover their own northerners, let alone going even further north for people who weren't even American. We like Canada but they're on their own.
What gets me is the people bundling up and going outside. Even in a normal blizzard, you think you're going to hoof it from Manhattan to Mexico? Sure Jan
