Randy versus Dennis Quaid as Sam Houston?

Sam Houston was a very large man, standing 6-6 and weighed as much as 250 pounds. Perhaps brother Randy Quaid should have had the role as Sam. Dennis is an excellent actor - but I think Randy would have been a perfect match for big Sam.

You're probably right, but unfortunately Randy has pretty much gone off the deep end these days and I doubt anyone in Hollywood would hire him.
