Paramount DVD releases?

How many Paramount DVD's are under the Nickelodeon label for the 2003 TMNT series? I know of 2. NYC Showdown and The Search For Splinter. Are there any others and, if there are, what are they called? Thanks!

Wow, back when the 2003 series was in its first run, there were a lot of individual volume DVD releases.

reply

Yeah, and they were all out of order. And now they are super expensive. And now Nickelodeon is doing the same thing. It's super frustrating. Just release them by season!

Nick's Chipmunks series is apparently released in a similar haphazard order. It seems they released some episodes on individual DVD's and then released something called like Season 1 Volume 2 for the rest of Season 1. It's confusing.

Conan the Adventurer is another one I want. They release the first and part of the second season, but never finished it. And that's the only cartoon I know of that actually concluded.

The first Transformers cartoon had a mostly definitive conclusion. It was written so that it could be continued if it was warranted, but The Rebirth was specifically commissioned to be the final story of that cartoon. Beast Machines was another Transformers "cartoon" that had a definite ending. In fact, it had a more final ending than any other Transformers show, probably. The 2001 Robots In Disguise cartoon I think also had something of a final ending.

If I remember correctly, Mighty Max ended pretty much on a final note.

Reboot intended to have a final note at the end of season 3. Then they made the 2 movies, where they ended on an unresolved cliffhanger and it will never be finished as they're already planning on, er, rebooting Reboot.

In fact, didn't the 2003 TMNT cartoon end entirely unresolved?

reply

I never watched Transformers, but I'm going to have to check it out now. I've only seen Mighty Max in passing but I always did want to check it out, but it's not on DVD. 
Not sure about Ninja Turtles 2003. I never saw Back to the Sewers and its also not on DVD.

If my memory serves me correctly, the last episode of the 2003 TMNT series was a wedding with Casey and April. The Shredder was still on the loose. Nothing seemed resolved. 😊

Dr Wily,

Season 5's finale felt like good closure. Season 6 and 7 could be looked at as a very lengthy epilogue that doesn't really go anywhere. Bonus seasons, if you will.

reply

I don't see why they can't get released by season either.
