Your #1 Everwood Moment

What is your absolute favorite Everwood moment? Whether it's a tear-jerking line, one of Irv's narrations, a specific kiss, or the duration of a certain song, there are tons and tons of amazing little moments in this show. I actually haven't even seen most of seasons 3 and 4, but just in seasons 1 and 2 I can think of so many.

Two of my favorites are when Earl, in the episode dealing with marijuana, gives his speech about how marijuana, to him, is time that he gets to spend with his family and in the first season Thanksgiving episode when Amy starts to play Ephram's mix and Irv gives a narration describing the roles that each character of the show would play in a classic medieval fairy tale and then it finally shows an amazing shot of the picturesque small town Main Street with all its Christmas lights.

Favorite moment ever was when Ephram told his dad in Season 4 that the reason he came back to Everwood was that he still loved Amy.

Next favorite was when Edna saw Irv in their kitchen after he died. Its one of the reasons that makes Everwood my favorite show ever. The same problem that plagued Dr. Brown in the first couple episodes, grieving his wife, was brought back and given to another mourning character 3 seasons later.

and my 3rd favorite was Colin Hart's seizure that eventually led to his death. That son of a bitch was getting in Amy and Ephram's way and had to go.

I think the best moment on the show was when Amy realized that Colin wasn't coming back at her ballet recital and she just breaks down. Then Ephram finds her and runs and tells doctor abbott that somethings wrong with Amy. Then he just scoops her up in his arms all while Nightingale is playing by Norah Jones. It was just such a beautiful moment.

Honorable mentions:

When Bright and Hannah kiss and she says I'm sweaty. so cute

Colin getting ready for his operation.

Amy gets the ferris wheel for Ephram.

Dr. Abbott humbling himself with Andy and accepting his offer to share a practice.

and Irv's brilliant narations throughout every episode :)

^^This. And how wonderful did Debra play that scene? I also loved a lot of Nina scenes, wonderful actress and interesting character.

I could never give just one.

Any moment where Andy cries or gives a tear-jerking speech has me sobbing.
For example, at the church or at the memorial for Colin at school. ='( Just too sad.

I looooved Amy/Ephram's first time. Sweetest thing ever.
I love all Hannah/Bright scenes too, especially the one in the bathroom where they take the shower together.

& anytime they give a little story or mention of Julia is sad too. Like, the goodbye to Julia.

Pretty much everything that happens in this show makes me cry.

And of course the ferris wheel scene.

And this is one show, where all the voice overs were amazing. All of Irv's and Ephram's voice over about tragic flaws were great.

Sadly, mine would have to be the fights. Ephram and Andy at each others throats was more real and painful than anything else I have ever seen on TV. This show really transcended TV and certainly the CW, that is why it had to end.

I also like the fightes - but I like the fight between Andy and Ephram in the pilot when Ephram yells he wished Andy had died in the crash instead of their mum and Andy yells he wished he did too...I always get teary.

Everwood, Party of Five & Brothers & Sisters are the only shows that make me cry practically in each episode!

Very hard to choose. I'll have to name a few

--Bright talking to Hannah through the bathroom door before they shower together

--The first time Amy and Ephram say "I love you" lying down on his couch with that song playing

--Season 1 when Ephram's grandfather is about to leave to go back to NY and he comes into Andy's office, the snow starts falling, and he says he remembers the train station, it reminds him of a town he got stuck in one day. I love that moment, and Andy just lets him tell the story as Irv's narration ends the episode.

--In season 3 before Amy's graduation when Harold tells her that Rose is just too tired to come, then he starts crying and says, "I don't know what I'm doing". Really heartbreaking moment.

--Amy saying goodbye to Colin's ghost at the party with Tommy, it's all in slow motion, and kinda dreamy

--Season 2, Amy teaching Ephram how to ice skate without ice skates

--After Edna and Harold take care of all the kids with the food poisoning in Dr. Jake's office, then they share a drink together, and Harold says, "Thanks for staying today mother" and Edna replies "Junior, I wouldn't have had it any other way". It's nice when those two get along.

Okay, that's enough. I could go forever.

I can't pick just one, but for now I would say the ending to the Season 4 premiere episode :

Just as Andy and Delia give up hope that Ephram will come back home --- and just as they are about to leave Irv/Edna's wedding reception in the closing seconds of the episode...

... a guy dressed in somewhat sloppy casual clothes (implying that he made it to the wedding at the last minute) appears from the midst of a crowd of dancers.

Ephram.

Andy gasps. Delia gasps, and runs to hug him. Amy sees him, and smiles --- slightly --- with gladness; but with all that has gone wrong between them, she cannot bring herself to show more emotion than that.

But Ephram has returned. And all will be well.

There are so many good moments on the show it would normally be hard to choose. But to me one scene really stands out. I also consider this scene the best I have ever seen on any TV show.

Bright and Hannah and the shower scene. The scene is extremely romantic, touching and with a bit of comedy. I.E. Bright putting his hands over his eyes when Hannah opens the door naked.

So many great ones have already been named. I also loved the one where Ephram reads the essay he wrote about his biggest flaw. The writing on this show is just amazing. So many awsome speeches.

My favorite moment is when the Browns are eating dinner with Linda, and Delia says, "It tastes like $h!t!" It's not the strongest, but it's by far my favorite. I still laugh every time I hear it!

Okay, on a serious note, I really like the following scenes:

* Andy's proposal to Nina in the series finale.
* The Season One finale where Andy tells Ephram the reason they moved to Everwood in the first place.
* Ephram's tragic flaw essay.
* When Delia finally gets her horse.
* Any real bonding moment in the Brown family. Screw Ephram/Amy, because the family was what I found compelling.

Wow, there are so many great moments mentioned. I'll add (and repeat!) a few:
**The VO that Irv does in the beginning of the last episode of S1, explaining how Colin and Andy's tragedies 'kept in time with one another.

In that same episode, when Amy, Colin and Bright skip a day of school before Colin's 2nd surgery.

As another poster mentioned, I LOVED the scene when Andy offers to take on Harold as a partner in his practice, and thus, Harold is able to have his insurance reinstated, because of Andy's standing. And right before that, I loved when Andy confides in Harold the recurring dream that he has (the one that was set in real-time, whereby Julia is still alive, and Andy meets them at 'Gabriel's' - that restaurant in Manhattan that they took the kids to on Fri nites. Anyway, when Andy walks in and sees his family at the table (he's late, as usual), he has this incredible 'look of love' in his eyes, in the dream sequence, when he is watching Julia and the kids from a distance, before joining them. I found that look to be PRICELESS.

At the party that the Browns had (when Julia's parents visited) when Bright suffers an acute appendicitis, and Harold, Andy, Jacob, with Edna assisting, had to perform an emergency surgery at Andy's office (after Jacob admitted that his hand was shot, and he no longer did abdominal surgery).

One of my all time favs was the 'eulogy' of sorts, that Andy gave at the memorial for Colin at the HS.

Amy and Ephram on the ferris wheel, during their first 'Thaw Fest,' when she brings up Colin's condition again.

This one always bringe me to tears -> when Andy see Linda off at the train station. My heart breaks for Linda, who just wants to have a 'normal' life by then, but she really can't (though I was on the fence about that - it's extremely hard for a man to get AIDS from having vaginal intercourse from a woman carrying the HIV virus - even without a condom. However, he's a widower, so I guess he shouldn't take any unnecessary risks, as minimal as they may be (as Ephram pointed out).

Even though I'm pro-choice, after Harold performs the abortion on Kate, and he goes to church to confess (I thought it was extraordinary how he was able to put aide his own beliefs, in order to benefit this young lady) - it was a very powerful scene to me.

When Andy explains to Delia that he didn't 'kill' Colin (as Delia was confused by what the entire town was saying) - and he gives her the analogy of her hamster, to whom she gave 'people medicine.' It showed how hard it is for a 9 yr old to understand the difference between someone 'dying' because of the given situation and risks, vs. Andy being responsible, as a surgeon, for his death.

One of the lighter scenes when Andy has to have 'the talk' with Delia, after she and her friend find Nina's vibrator, lol

There's so many more, but those are just off of the top of my head...

So many to choose from...

I loved:

-Edna's 'I am a god' rant on Jake's doorstep, when he blabbed to Andy about Ephram's STD test. Ended with her threatening to buy a brooch and stab him.

-Ephram & Amy's infinity and forever break-up talk. Pure heartbreak.

-Tie: Delia's 'this tastes like *beep* outburst/her marching through the drugstore in hockey gear to buy her first maxi-pads.

-Andy's awkward stammerfest with Nina the morning after he learned she had romantic feelings for him. 'Flannel creates heat'--among his best-ever lines.

-Tie: Bright and Hannah's cell phone argument, her from the bathroom at prom/their talk that segued from a philosophical hole-puncher metaphor, to 'sorry for trying to feel you up', then trading I love yous. Priceless.

-Everwood's very last shot. The camera panning up from the Ferris wheel, to the lights of town, to the mountains above, then the stars above all. Beautiful, poignant ending note, with the camera never lingering a second too long.

Almost finished with Season 2 but so far the 3 that stand out for me

Colin preparing for surgery
Andy praying in the church when he thinks no one else is there
Andy talking to Julia for what i think was the last time while at the fair with a group of the people from Everwood looking at him
