Will there be a 4th Patlabor movie?

It's been a while since I last saw the mini-pato special, but if I recall correctly - in it they state that WXIII was the last installment in the series. I hope they were just being facetious, but somehow I doubt it.

But it'll atleast have the Second Division portraying a bigger role than this movie.

sharePatlabor 2 was supposed to be the final installment too at one time, so who knows? I do think however that Oshii and most of the other famous names in anime that have worked on Patlabor are probably done with it so it would probably be under a new creative team.
Also I don't think the current trends in recent anime would allow for a new Patlabor. It's just not in the style of what's coming out these days.
Actually youre wrong. Patlabor III was ready to go after II. It was going to be more of a TV special but just didn't happen. It was basically delayed for almost 10 years with a few tweaks here and there including making the two detectives the main protagonists and not the S2 team. Anyway I though WXIII was great
