Young Dutch Man

Those who have read the book can recall how most of the dialogues were incorporated into the movie and it is done exactly according to book, except one scene i found missing.

Book describes visit of a Dutch guy who Mori san is secretly considering as a potential husband. Dutch guy happens to sweat a lot.

Why do you think director miss this scene? Was it uninteresting enough or was there some political reason.

and also, the book describes social behavior of typical Japanese woman that is not mentioned in the movie. again, you think it was technically hard to incorporate or is there some other reason?
