Would this work as a tv series?

I was rewatching Sahara yesterday and while I don't think it's as bad as the critics made out (as a mindless popcorn flick) it's clear that there's just too much going on within the novel's plot to do it justice.

Would it make more sense as a 6 or 8 part TV series with enough time to build the characters and the complex interactions of the various pieces of plot?

If it was successful you could each novel as a separate series and if it tanked then at least one novel would be given enough time to tell the story properly.

I couldn't agree more... It is a MUCH better film then it is given credit for...But you would never get that idiot Clive Cussler to agree. His ego is something no film or TV producer want to deal with. He is a dishonorable man as proven by his failure to meet the terms of his SAHARA contract.

But your idea is a good one....
