Can't believe i'm wasting time with a 9 lives post... However,
WTF is the ending? How does the dude know the ghosts name? Why is the book readable only to him? Why does the book just have a giant burn hole for everyone else? I know he burns the book at the end, so he did he pull a Marty Mcfly? Are these major plot holes are am I just missing the "big picture" twist here?
I'm guessing because the ghost was somehow related to the guy at the end, and the ghost doesn't want him to be killed because maybe he was allowed at the house but the others weren't cause that's the ghosts property?
shareHe was Scottish, which is why he could read the book and why the ghost never intended to kill him (and why he was able to read the book). The others were English (with the exception of Paris, who he probably just killed on principal) so they were the targets of his revenge.
