What happened to the priest?

I might've missed something but why was he so itchy?
Loved the movie - really great.

She put poison ivy in the dryer with his laundry as a little bit of revenge. Tragically, she did not realize he would be taking sexual advantage of Crispina that particular day, and so she was infected as well, sending her over the edge.

I must've missed something - thank you. that was a big something I missed. This was a very well-done film and hit me straight in my heart.

He was receiving a BJ from a nun. But who was the nun?

reply

She was not a nun. The girl that the sicko "priest" was molesting was Crispina, the one who was slightly slow.

bartgirls is asking about a slightly earlier scene, on the way to the events day. She stopped to tie her shoe and saw something happening through a window. That's when she realized the priest was not a man of god and plotted her dryer scheme, so Crispina got infected later (not to mention she got infected a tad lower than her mouth).
I couldnt make out what was happening in the window at all (not only who, but what), but from her reaction, I figured it was something like that. A nun seems unlikely, though, not those frigid ones.

Immediately following the window scene, all of the girls had convened for some ceremony to welcome Una to the convent and Crispina was entering late. Her friend connected the dots that it was her who was being molested by the priest. She then whispered into Crispina';s ear "he's not a man of God," and left to gather poison ivy to later put in his wash. What she hadn't foreseen was that he would spread the poison ivy to Crispina. She contracted the poison ivy rash and repeatedly shouted "You are not a man of God." Unfortunately, the majority of the crowd just stood there dumbfounded. The nuns knew what that was all about.

At 2:01, you can see that it was Crispina in the window, and at 3:10, she walks in late.

No, it wouldn't have been a nun. Nuns were respectable. More likely one of the prisoners.

reply

There have been cases of nuns being abused by priests though

reply

I definitely do not think it was a nun. The power of him having control on who leaves would have made it easy for the girls to give into what he wanted and I think she realized this after watching the snitch girl get out and then seeing the priest getting sexual favors, she put 2 and 2 together. I am sure he probably lured Crispina in that way by telling her she would be able to see her son again. Unfortunately she was hoping to expose a snitch, NOT Crispina.

Nuns certainly are raped by the few men they encounter, including their bishops and confessors. The nuns wouldn't really have any more control over their lives than the inmates would.

Being respectable doesn't prevent rape! Or coercive sex. Or, to give a woman her due, respectability doesn't prevent her desiring and having fully consensual sex.
