Better than the first sequal?

I think so. And so many of the original cast.

I liked it better than Lion King 2.

I prefer the first sequel to this one.

yer numba two was better..disney couldnt be bothered making it better because they knew that only half the people that watched the first one were going to watch this one because it was a "sequel"..but all in all..i liked this one too :D

3 was a satire. 2 was an insult to the original characters, offering only imitations of the greats.

reply

This sequel lacked what made Simba's Pride so great - novelty. It just felt too much like the original.

I agree. I didn't care for 1/2 much. The first one is my favorite out of them all, and I still liked Simba's pride better than 1/2.

reply

I agree, wildanimals. The second one definitely deserves more credit for at least being more creative.

I'd say they are equal. Equally good and equally bad.
LK2 had an interesting story, alibet a tad confusing if you don't pay attention (the Kovu's dad is not Scar thing...you'd be suprised how many people don't catch that).
Also the music is great in both, but LK2 had more songs, and more original characters.

I really enjoyed T & P much better in this one. I was so very sad at what they were like in 2. There part was just...ugh. Also their animation in 2 was bad, as was Rafiki's, everyone's animation was better in 1 1/2.

Also 1 1/2 has Timon's story, and I love that. Timon is a great character. Also I love Nathan Lane. And I like this version of his story better than the tv show's one.

A laugh can be a very powerful thing. Why, sometimes in life it's the only weapon we have.

I think it is slightly better. Both movies I fast forward quite a bit through. In Simba's Pride I think all of the songs are terrible, and in 1 1/2 I only care for the parts that cross over with the first film.

Like I mention in my review for this movie; Simba's Pride isn't exactly bad, but it suffered an awfully bad script, a little cohesive story with many deja vu's and bad characterizations. It was like watching "Pocahontas"/"Romeo and Juliet" with animals, just in a film which had many plot holes.

I liked Kiara as a cub, as a adult I felt she was bratty. Timon and Pumbaa were terrible annoying. Zazu, Simba and Nala were just boring and so were Kovu. I liked Zira, she was a interesting villain, cause she had more human motives. Vitani was also an watchable character, though she didn't had enough screentime. Nuka were just annoying.

On the other hand, the songs were good, the score were nice, the animation were acceptable and the mood of the film made it watchable.

In many ways, "Lion King One and a Half" is better, it could be offensive to the first film, but it's not, this is a fun and hilarious movie and the characterizations are better in this movie (of Timon and Pumbaa, Timon's mom, Uncle Max, Rafiki, the hyenas, Simba). The score is good, the animation is acceptable, the friendship between Timon and Pumbaa is skilfully told. I must confess I didn't liked that the original frames from the first film was uesd in this one, otherwise, this film is highly entertaining

I agree. I'm not one of those who despises Simba's Pride, but I enjoyed 1 and a half more, mainly because of the ironic and irreverent tone.
