This show failed because of..

1) the action takes place in Britain. Ignorant USA viewers have no clue where Britain is, and dismisses the show long before the give it a chance.

2) the title. "Keen Eddie"?? The show was doomed to fail!! Godamn, it really is to bad this show didnt get the right settings and title, cause it is brillia

You're an idiot. Americans are not too stupid for this show.
Americans tune in regularly for BBC programming shown on US TV.
In the US choices are endless (not like the limited TV choices in the UK) It takes a lot of effort for a show to get noticed.
Keen Eddie was poorly advertised then moved around by the Fox Network incessantly.
It did extremely well in re-runs on BRAVO Cable network.

I'll agree - it wasn't given much of a chance. It probably didn't open big, so they moved it around - and then it was destined to fail.

It's what would've happened with Seinfeld if they'd given up on right away, based on it's initial ratings.

This brilliant show (which I miss dearly) suffered from the same crap treatment that "Firefly" got, (another show I miss...)

"You know what a cautious fellow I am..."

I'm so confused - I live in America and I know where Great Britain is (and England, too) - my brain hurts!
I watched Keen Eddie the summer it first aired (2003) and absolutely LOVED it! I didn't know who Sienna Miller was and loved her on this program - every aspect of the show was top-notch! I can only guess that they canceled it because it was looked upon as summer filler and they didn't have a slot for it when summer was over. It was a shame, because this show was far better than anything they had to offer in their fall lineup.
From the banter in the apartment to the innuendo with "Miss Moneypenny" to "how do you like me so far?" ... even when I watch it today I can't help but keep exclaiming out loud, episode after episode - "I LOVE this show!"

I totally agree. It was a great show, and deserved a longer run.

I agree, too. Look at me: it has been 10 years and still missing this fresh, innovative, awesome show.

As an American who has spent a great deal of time in London ( golly, how did I EVER find it), May I say that Keen Eddie was the best TV show ever. Period.
