It's such a rip off quirk from When Harry Met Sally to have Emma's quirk of reading the ending of books before the beginning.

In 'When Harry Met Sally', Harry says that he reads the ending first in case he dies before he finishes the book.
Emma reads the ending first because she doesn't want to waste her time on a book with a bad ending.
Different motives - I say it's okay!
