Attention Odyssey 5 Board.......starting epp 1 June 10th

Greetings "Odyssey 5" board. We are a group of folks that like to watch 1 season shows from the beginning and working all the way through to the end. We watch one show a week on Friday and then discuss over the next few days. Anyone here who is interested, we will start episode 1 on 06-10-2011. We have never failed to finish a show but Night Gallery (season 1 ) was close, The previous shows we have watched are:

The Time Tunnel
Kolchack the Night Stalker
Night Gallery Season 1.
Voyagers!
The Lone Gunmen
Wonderfalls
Tales of The Gold Monkey
Firefly

Come and join us and lets have some fun......word of caution though, we can be pretty harsh in some of our criticism of these shows and have ruffled feathers of some pre existing board members in the past. We mean no harm just calling it the way we see it, we also tend to disagree with each other on whether it's a good episode or not ...(Never Forget The Moon Mouse or The Ghost of Nero....lol)
Looking forward to episode 1 to see what we have gotten ourselves into this time.

The moon mouse was my favorite 6 min clip from Night Gallery Season 1. How many years have we been doing this A. Stone?

It's always surprising the number of people that show up as the reviews go on. And if they don't so be it we will trudge forward and ramble the way we always do.

I appreciate the open invite to follow from the Firefly board. Just ordered my DVD of this show from Amazon.

Or The Message and Out Of Gas, or was it mostly those of us from that board who were split on those two eps?

Looking forward to the discussion, and since I haven't already seen this whole series, I'll try and watch it on your schedule. (Not promising success, though, as I have never heard of this show and don't know whether or not it'll hook me fast and hard like Firefly did, which I had only heard of a month or so before your group showed up there.)

I know what you mean. Similarly like you, I joined this "troupe" when it was leaving "Wonderfalls," which I particularly like very much, and went to the next show, so I had some vigorous discussions with some of the others. At that time people voted for the next to watch, and chose "Tales of the Gold Monkey" over "Firefly" (imagine that; I had voted for Firefly, by the way). I tried to watch "Tales..." but couldn't put up with it so I'm ashamed to admit I left the boat in the middle of the trip. Fortunately, "Firefly" won the following voting, so I rejoined with all disposition. And here we are now.

OK, the flipside of what I was getting at. I hadn't even thought about when the group inevitably gets to a show that doesn't interest me at all. Good to know that whenever that happens I can sit out and come back for subsequent shows.

I was thinking more of Firefly and how I couldn't stop myself from watching that entire series in one weekend-long marathon. That made it extra effort to hold back my discussion to the pace of the group when I had a head full of spoilers. But then, I did that before hearing about this group.

Well the couple of us that have persevered through all the shows tend to take the good with the bad. The only show we have ever wanted to bail on as a group was night gallery but we pushed through, it was horrible. Part of the fun with this was, what ever we voted we watched period, it could be brutal but that was part of the fun. We are glad to have you on board bob, hopefully the show will be good but hey they are usually one season shows for a reason.

I personally struggled through the Lone Gunman. It wasn’t at all what I thought it would be like. But somehow someway I made it through it. People come and go and then at a later date pop back in. If it wasn’t for this rag tag group I would of never even known about some of the shows we have watched.

Well, as the tumbleweeds blow across the desert, we will open the box on whatever it is starting Friday. Mad your going to have to anchor the breakdowns but wlc and I will supply some support. Hopefully they will be good enough to watch, if not we will struggle on to the bitter end....Forward into the breech.

Hummm... Let me guess... (I can't resist this one!) Got lost in both time and space while traveling from one board to the other? I've seen that happen in Sliders.
