In any case, is there anywhere on the Internet that Manny Coto has provided a sense of closure for us Odyssey 5 fans?
At least a brief outline on the hell was going to happen would be great.

I am new to this series as of today (never heard of it before). A friend recommended Odyssey 5 and lent me the DVDs.
The entire story is explained by Manny Coto to Peter Weller in the commentary for the pilot episode.
Would have been an extremely interesting arc...

Cotto talks about plans for 3 seasons
The seeker from the pilot would make further appearances in the second season
The sentients resurrect taggarts deceased wife as a "gift"
It would be revealed that the earth was destroyed by "exterminators" who destroy planets that have been infiltrated by the sentients:
Taggart and co would later join forces with the sentients against the exterminators to prevent the destruction of the earth.
Cotto also made reference to the human race "evolving" possibly turning into human/synthetic hybrids.
Interesting ideas, just a shame it is unlikely we will see the story concluded!
