At least they should do a final episode for this and other recent sci-fi shows that got canceled. Its unpolite for the loyal people that was watching the show.

I would love to see some kind of continuation. I pretty much hate how this show was almost completely ignored by the mainstream, yet "Survivor" continues into its five-hundredth season. Consider some of the cancelled shows that so many people had bent over backwards to try to get back on the air. Almost none of them held a candle to "Odyssey 5" (save for perhaps "Twin Peaks"), and yet this show received next to no attention. For example, I read an article in a TV magazine that had a list of what they claimed to be something like the top fifteen shows cancelled before their time. "Odyssey 5" was nowhere to be seen. The only support I can think of is to buy the DVDs, I guess, but I have no idea how good that would do now.
shareFirefly fandom helped to see Serenity get made, but Manny Coto doesn't have a huge legion of rabid slobbering fans like Whedon does. Sadly, it's unlikely we'll ever see any kind of continuation of Odyssey 5.
I've only recently discovered Odyssey 5 and I must say, it's really good. I literally had *never* heard of it before seeing a link to it on Netflix. It's a shame, given it's caliber. Outstanding stuff - great premise.
Also, just think of how much power Joss Whedon has in hollywood. Manny Coto doesn't have the same kind of influence. Shame though.

It was just a hoot to watch, but I heard that Showtime execs decided to kill it so they could produce Huff.
Sad.
