A Few Years Late...

It figures... I just discovered "My Life As A Teenage Robot" about a month ago, only to find out it has already been canceled for at least a year and there are no videos, DVDs, or merchandise commercially available.
Which sucks because my four and a half year old son is OBSESSED with this show right now. He came home from his babysitter's a while back telling me about this "COOL show" he'd seen on TV about a "girl robot," but of course he couldn't remember the title, what channel it was on, etc., (give him a break, he's only a kid). But about a week later I went past NickToons while channel surfing and "M.L.A.A.T.R." just happened to be on, naturally my son started screaming "DADDY, that's IT! THAT'S THE GIRL ROBOT SHOW!" so I sat back and watched it with him... and y'know what? "M.L.A.A.T.R." is pretty damned funny! It's kinda like a combination of "PowerPuff Girls" and "Transformers" (with some Archie Comics mixed in) I'm taping the episodes for my son as they air on NickToons now, and thankfully some guy in Guatemala seems to have uploaded virtually every episode on the Internet (I'm not going to mention where because I don't want to get him busted by the Viacom police!), so my son can get his "Jenny" fix anytime he wants for the time being.
If there's a petition somewhere to get Nick to release "M.L.A.A.T.R." on DVD, someone tell me where it is, cuz I'd sign it in a heartbeat! I realize I'm not exactly in the target demographic/age group for this show, but it's one of the best toons I've seen in quite some time.

My favorite episodes thus far have been the two with the evil-but-tiny wind-up robot "Killgore"... I love that guy. "SURRENDERRRRRRR!"

As much as I agree with you on how painful it is to not get any official merchandise of MLAATR, we can't really expect any. This show was canceled because of low ratings. The 3rd, and final, season has never aired on the regular Nickelodeon channel, only on Nicktoons Network I believe. Viacom won't even bother showing reruns of the show on their normal channel, which kinda pisses me off.

Because the show had low ratings, Viacom probably refuses to release any DVD's because they think they wouldn't sell. But that's BS because there are many fans of this show. But Viacom is just using the same sad excuse on any of their old shows that never got DVD releases, such as Doug, Rocko's Modern Life, and the old Rugrats. Unfortunately, online petitions usually don't work, so don't count on it.

When Nickelodeon has a new show on their channel, they seem to demand it to have the same success as Spongebob or Fairly Oddparents. If that doesn't happen over time, then they automatically get canceled. That's what happened to this show sadly.

I'm not really within the demographic group of MLAATR ether, yet I think it has a lot of charm to it.

Well, petitions did work for "Kim Possible" and "Family Guy". However, that was mainly because those shows had such large fanbases. TeenBot's fanbase is small and virtually nonexistent, making it extremely doubtful that any network, let alone Nick, will even consider renewing the show.

This is where you get to see all the episodes. Including the unaired episodes with special vocal guests as Dee Bradly Baker and Keone Young.

I'm 28(almost 29), yet I caught a couple episodes one night by accident a few months ago and got into it. I'd say Jenny's like a mix of all 3 Powerpuff Girls(her appearance), Inspector Gadget(equipped with a ridiculous array of weapons and other assorted attachments), and Johnny Five(friendly and well-meaning, but naive and not afraid to fight when she has to). I wouldn't mind seeing it on DVD, along with Rocko's Modern Life. I get *beep* from people from being a straight guy who watches animated shows-I hate the term "cartoon"-but it ain't nobody's business but mine.

And sadly, Spongebob is pretty much the only thing Nick has going right now. Cartoon Network, though not as great it was in the late 90s and early 2000s, at least it actually gives a new show the chance. And that is why they are kicking Nick's ass in ratings, especially with shows like Adventure Time and Regular Show, not to mention that these programs bring back some of the essence of nicktoons from the 90s.
