It was extremely annoying to hear supermassive black holes characterized as lurking monsters, as if there was some evil animus to a natural phenomenon. Added to that was the dramatic music which made this show feel like the equivalent of Fox News caliber sensationalization.
Why can't we discuss the universe as if we are not the center of it.
I know right, the music was ridiculous. Not to mention the implicit idea that we are too stupid to comprehend the science. Its not that difficult to understand.
shareI found the music to be annoying. After every statement it seemed they used the same music to give the impression that something mysterious was just said.
What annoyed me the most though was how they ignored, and hence did not answer, what are to me obvious questions.
For instance when observing the "active" and "dormant" super massive black hole did anyone ask "Perhaps the reason some are brighter than others is that there is more material being consumed?"
