No 59 on The Times' Top 100 Films of the Noughties

My girlfriend and I are watching through all the top 100 films of the last decade (from The Times newspaper) and this was at number 59.

First off, its not our list we're just watching through it to check out some films we wouldn't otherwise see and re-watch some classics from the decade. I wouldn't put too much weight on the order they have the films in!

Anyway...

I think I appreciated this more as an achievement (documenting the progress of kids over a full year and turning it into a cohesive film) than as a film per se. There's another French film on the list (Entre Les Murs / The Class) which was also about following a class (albeit a secondary school one) throughout the year which I probably enjoyed more.

We are scoring the films as we go along to give our take on the list. If you're interested, you can keep up to date with our progress (and see the The Times' full list) on our blog at:
