Roughly what he's saying is 'How do we know if fractions add up?', and of course, the answer is that if the numerator (top) and the denominator (bottom) add up to the same number, then it's the same as 1/1, which looks like a sausage!

That's a funny response, but I thought the reason he it was simply vocalizing the random thoughts in our heads.
Rememmber, Jojo was a precocious child and probably had a low attention span. That's like me - I daydream so much, I'm so glad I know how to keep my thoughts in my head.
