I totally wanted the Animaniacs to show up in the batmobile scene

With the water tank and all...

In Snyder I trust

It would have been awesome, but since Animaniacs was cancelled about 5 years before the film, the studio probably figured there would be nobody would know who the characters were.

There's so much pressure to like monkeys.

Yeah, they definitely could've done that water tower scene with the Warners. I don't think it will be because nobody will remember them because if I remember correctly Animaniacs was still going through reruns when this movie was announced. So I don't think it's because no one will remember them. I think there two reasons why they didn't show up in this movie.

Reason 1: They probably had to go through Steven Spielberg in order to do that one shot.

Reason 2: In order to do that one shot, not only did they probably had to go through Spielberg to use his creations but, it probably would've cost the company a lot of money in order to do that one scene.

Then again I can say the same for the Tiny Toon Adventure cast, not just Animaniacs, they could've only used Yakko, Wakko, and Dot for Animaniacs. While no one from TTA don't get no mentioning in this movie neither. I don't think that seems fair. Why does only one of his shows has to get put in the movie but not the other?

They actually were initially supposed to, only problem was that WB would've had to have gone to Uncle Steve and Amblin Entertainment to accomplish this.

...and thus was the world saved from the unleashing of another eldritch horror.

Only *good* Animaniacs segment was Slappy Squirrel.

And that was patchy.

(And, of course, i suspect Spielberg was unhappy that Dante's segment in the "Twilight Zone" film was so much better than his that they didn't belong in the same movie...)

I agree that they missed a perfect opportunity to feature one of my favorite cartoons.

Fuzzy-Wuzzy was a bear. Fuzzy-Wuzzy had no hair. Fuzzy-Wuzzy changed his name to Ed Asner.

reply

Me too, maybe they didn't get permission from Steven Speilberg in order to be able to do it.

reply

Yeah, it drove me nuts they weren't there. Yeah, copyright, etc, but that show conditioned me to expect them in that tower. Why the hell is there water in a water tower instead of three whatevers causing mayhem?

What I want to know is why hasn't Steven Spielberg done a full Animanics movie yet? Enquiring Minds (well, actually just me) want to know!
