Who was it carrying that pod in the area 52 scene?
I assumed it was Kevin McCarthy as Dr. Miles J. Bennell.

Yes, it was. He is in the credits.

I recognised him too. I think that he was reprising his cameo that he did in the 1978 version of 'Invasion of the Body Snatchers.'
