Brubaker, could have been chosen at random, but Col Brubaker was the fictional character in the sci fi great Capricorn one, where the government fakes a mars landing.

Conspiracy types will then be happy to jump on the fact, there are folks who feel Columbus was not (non-indiginous) the first to step foot on America, and there are a smaller group of folks who believe the moon landing was fiction.

So I wonder if the writer, in choosing to add Brubaker to the toast, was tipping his hand, as a member of all of the groups above. I.e., were the groups mentioned all fictional?
