Who was John dancing with??

I don't know why...but it's BUGGING me...Does anyone know or can anyone find out who the woman was that John was dancing with in the aisle right after the intermission?? I have a strong feeling that she was one of the "latin finalist" dancers in the movie, DANCE WITH ME...either that, or she bears a striking resemblance to the dancer in the film.

Unfortunately, her character and real name are not listed on IMDB under the title Dance with Me...nor is she given credit on Sexaholics: A Love Story -- at least I haven't found any credit given to her.

Can anyone help??

I have always wondered the same thing. Their dancing was a little too "good" to be spontaneous (or maybe I say that because I'm such a lousy dancer, haha).

when i saw it live it looked spontaneous and my friend said it was someone different last time he saw it...at first she was very reluctant to get up and dance in front of everybody.

i thought the same thing ...i think it is her but i also know shes from somewher else ..my mom went to see john leguizamo and said shes from some dancing things like a musical or something ...shes performed somewhere else

I think he picks a random woman from the audience every night. i think the only criteria is that they're sitting close to the aisle and they look like they can either A.) Salsa or B.) At least be able to be led in salsa

I saw his show when it was here in LA

There was this couple out on a date sitting right in front of me and lo and behold when act 2 began john looked around a picked that girl. It was a little shaky at first because she didn’t totally know what was going on. But after the first couple of counts, she got the hang of it and put on quite a show. The boyfriend feigned interest… when they finished, the girlfriend sat down, she was telling her beau how cool that was etc.

So I doubt he has a stooge in the audience for that portion of the show...

When to people who know how to salsa dance together, it can looked very professional/staged... but such is the nature of the dance.

A girl just has to know the basic steps and/or be willing to be lead because like other ballroom dances, the male leads. (and can make the girl look AWESOME)

I think it was the Choreographer of the show Maria Torres O'Connor

I'm pretty sure her name was Naomi Hotta. Check youtube because if it is her, you'll be able to tell. I know there are videos of her dancing are on there. Wish I could dance like that!
