Middle-aged whiners

This documentary/garbage was such a sham. Let's see - we'll film 40+ women and ask them how hollywood treats older celebs - some claim they have no issues finding work while others say they would grow up gracefully and if Hollywood does not like it - screw 'em.

Hmm - okay. Then you have that french tart with a severe case of botched lip augmentation that calling her trout lips is like saying the atlantic ocean is a small pond.

And to top it off, by the time this shi t gets released, the main character is already making movies.

They should have named it - Why doesn't Hollywood let 40 year old chicks be sex kittens?

Reason - watching a 40yr old with so much surgery and botox f uck some 19yr old is like watching a man f uck a prune with implants.

Sorry, but did you actually watch the film?

They weren't "complaining" about people like you not finding them attractive when they hit 40.

I guess that was lost on you while you were busy trying to conjure up the image of a prune with implants.

Well said, madamebrad.

The OP obviously missed the point of the documentary, but maybe he should watch it again now that's he's 25.

However, it is true that a lot of actresses disappearing when they get older is the flip side of a lot of actresses getting cast in the first place only because they're "hot". (Why does a terrible actress like Megan Fox have a career NOW?). If you do have a career based on talent rather than looks, you'll certainly have more career longevity. Look at Meryl Streep.

It's definitely true that there are not a lot of roles in Hollywood for older women, although you can't entirely blame that on males or the young people that Hollywood tends to cater to. It is kind of ridiculous when Hollywood casts 34-year-old Eva Green as the MOTHER of 22-year-old Shailene Woodley in "White Bird in a Blizzard". The movies are inevitably going to be more interested in young actresses given their young, predominately male audience, but they could at least let older women play their mothers. It shouldn't be like a porn movie where "mothers" and "daughters" are practically the same age (Green and Woodley don't engage in any three-ways or lesbian scenes). Hollywood does the same thing with roles for "ugly" or "plain-looking" women. They have to give those to raving beauties too. Where is the female Paul Giomatti?
