Website may answer some cultural/historical questions

Hello film fans,

I have recently completed a web project for an undergraduate Russian literature course on the film Rusisan Ark. My website provides footnotes chapter-by-chapter dealing with some of the cultural and historical references in the film.

I hope that beyond getting course credit, my website will be helpful to people who, like me, saw a lot of references on the first viewing of this rather rich film that they did not understand.

So, for some insight into questions like, "Who was that blind woman," please check out the following website:

Thanks

Unlike some people here, I found the movie fascinating and riviting! I will check out your website...

Does it explain the movie? :] I know "art" movies are supposed to leave one pondering, but this one drove me nuts!

In reply to myself.. your website is wonderful. I would like to rewatch the movie and compare your scene notes...

It must have been an incredible amount of work. I am so impressed...

Thanks I'll be sure to check this out.
One thing I didn't understand was the wheel and the other device the actors are using as we enter the theatre.

Be sure not to miss Candice's website .

I'd love to view the site, but the adress doesn't seem to work :(

Hi guys,

Sorry for the delay... first year of grad school kept me busy... I just realized my site had been taken down. I guess Texas Tech's servers couldn't grudge the extra 5 MB. Incidently, I can't change the original message in the thread either, because I no longer have access to that email account and thus can't access my old imdb account either...anyway.

I have moved the Russian Ark site over to angelfire (don't worry, it should be ad- and pop-up-free)

It can now be found at: www.angelfire.com/ult/cmcdouga/arkhome.htm

The email address links should all be updated too, if I didn't miss something :) Thanks for all the positive comments; I'm so glad people find the site useful!

Oh my God! Candice, you're a legend! Not only is it a fantastic website but you came back to the exact same thread 2 YEARS later to tell us a new link!

Thank you very much.

Thank you, thank you!!

The website is gone. I contacted TTU, and unfortunately, Ms. McDougall is no longer affiliated with the university, and her forwarding information is obsolete, as they attempted to contact her for me. One can only hope that one day, she will remember, and publish her webpage elsewhere. :)
