If Ethan gave Davian the Rabbit's Foot why Davian kill his translator?

Musgrave said that at the Vatican she failed him, but why did he use her to extract the information from Ethan?

reply

I think because she let davian (Ethan) leave with the briefcase. And also, he's a ruthless son of a gun.

So did he know that it was his translator? And also if Ethan had disclosed the whereabouts of the rabbit foot would he still have killed his translator?

You've already asked the same questions, and you've received the answers; see here: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0317919/board/nest/246893160

Lol, that's weird. Maybe he's like the guy in Memento, just constantly waking up in a loop confused about this part of the movie

reply

LOL.... wait, what? I was going to reply to you with some witty remark (something along the lines of "maybe OP is repressing his memories of his own translator" and "fortunately OP can't take polaroids of me"), but then I noticed that Leonard Shelby was also mentioned in the other thread... by me! 

Yes because Musgrave convinced him not to kill Ethan's wife and the translator/head of security really fucked up. I imagine she still would've been killed.

Simple, boring but truthful answer...

he’s a bad guy. A really bad one. One screw up (who knows if she had screwed up before), and Davian would whack any of his trusted employees without giving it a second thought.

She was also his head of security. She essentially allowed Davian, as a high value target, to run off with a complete stranger with the Rabbits Foot, without a security detail keeping an eye on him. A major fuck up.
