Why don't we see Ethan getting the Rabbit's Foot?

It would have been an awesome scene, Ethan trying to get the Rabbit's Foot. Hell, Luther said it himself, that the Langley mission was cakewalk compared to this, this could have been one of the best scene in the movie. But nope, they instead had to put a pointless quiet scene over the theft.

The rabbit's foot is just a macguffin. It doesn't matter what it really is.

That’s what a good ol’ fashion MacGuffin is - it needs not to be seen or even (over)explained. The Rabbit’s Foot itself isn’t the important thing, the plot and the characters are what matters. Or so they say, lol.

Seeing the exact moment he retrieves the RF’s would have been epic (maybe), I think. But they ultimately decided to not show it and perhaps it was for the best.

what's the rabbit foot? I haven't seen the movie yet??? ruined it for me.

It was a deliberate gag to not show yet another steal-the-thingy scene. We’d already had two similar stealth robbery scenes in I and II and this one put the focus elsewhere, successfully I think.
