The Interrotron

Anyone interested in reading about Errol Morris' interviewing technique known as the "Interrotron" will want to check out this link: http://www.markorto n.com/in_brief/Inter rotron.htm

Of course "interrogation" was the first thing to come to my mind; amusingly, the technique/device's name was coined by his wife who wanted to combine the words "interview" and "terror" :D The technique seems cold, hence the name, however it is explained that it helps to relax the interviewees.

Figured I'd throw this out there in case anyone's interested, as I couldn't find anything on Errol Morris' board.

Fascinating. Thanks for the address.

When you think about it, there's a real science behind conversation and the interplay of questions and answers. There's a book called "The Gentle Art of Verbal Self-Defense." If you've ever read it, it's interesting to consider it while listening to McNamara talk. Consciously or not, the way he answers questions embodies some of the book's concepts.

Anyone else wondering how they'd personally hold up under the Interrotron's scrutiny?

Hey, that's cool.. maybe I'll check that book out if I can find some free time :D

Personally I think being interviewed through the Interrotron wouldn't be so scary as it may seem. I think it may make you feel more professional and therefore put on a better production; who doesn't want to be a part of the latest developments in whatever? :D
