Film24 is something of a niche for old B&W British films so this recently made made for TV French 3 hour mini-series (shown in 2 parts) is a surprise but nonetheless very welcome addition. Rupert Everett has rather cornered the market as an urbane cynical man-of-the-world (a kind of more credible George Sanders for our days). And which French actress other than Catherine Deneuve would better play this part?
