Metaphors & Allegories?

While I agree with those of you who are now telling me in private e-mails that not every Israeli film has to be "political," in this particular case, my heart told me that THIS one was.

Please read the interview I have just posted with director Nir Bergman:

What makes this film so exceptional is that it "works" on so many levels at once. I remember the day that President Kennedy was shot very clearly. I remember exactly where I was & what I was doing when I heard the news. Now, having just seen FOG OF WAR, I'm thinking about how much that one act impacted the history of the world.

I remember the day Yitzhak Rabin was assassinated just as clearly. I remember my despair when I learned who killed him & why. These facts frame our lives in ways that most of us are never even aware of. But isn't one of the purposes of art to help us access just such things?

Thanks so much for including that interview--I never would have thought Rabin had any place in the movie, but I see it now!
