don't watch this on AMC!

I saw this in the theater and wanted to record it, to see again with friends. So I did it from AMC and was appalled that two critical scenes were cut out completely. (One was the fight down in the hold of the ship when the crew was harassing Hidalgo, and the other was the scene at the slave market when they arrived at the port, when the little guy was 'bought'. I'm not sure if anything else was cut but who cares? They altered the film!

I have since found an intact version on CMT, of all places!

Why not just order the DVD? It will be so much better than recording it off those channels, plus you will get all the extras! Those channels you mentioned (AMC & CMT) all edit their movies for content and to run in the time allotted. Basically all of those "cable" type channels do that so I'm not sure why you are upset that they edited and chopped the movie?

Hint: NEVER WATCH ANY MOVIES ON COMMERCIAL CABLE. They always crop them. I started watching Pitch Black and the completely cut one of the best scenes.

It was the whole sequence where they're so freaked out by Riddick they shoot an innocent survivor.
