The reason that was funny because it showed how the jews will laugh at themselves, even over the Holocaust. that was the point of the joke.
I would have to disagree with most of the people on this board about us all laughing about the Holocaust. I didn't find that joke offensive, becuase it was just part of the ride. It wasn't really a joke. However, I don't think anyone is actually
laughing about the Holocaust. People may be ready to move on and accept it, but show me a comedian who actually sits there and chuckles about the Holocaust.
I'm not trying to sound abrasive or anything, I just wanted to put in that the majority of America probably isn't ready to laugh at this event.
I know a bunch of people will come on saying I am too serious and can't take a joke, but I am not saying that scene wasn't funny. It was, and it is a huge part of Jewish history. But I can't think of much up front Holocaust humor, other than The Producers.
