I wanted to see this movie because I thought the idea of an orthodox Jewish Shaft was hysterical. Sorry, but after the first ten minutes I didn't think the Hebrew Hammer did much with the premise. Thanks for the tip, clivy. Was laughing out loud during Finding a Jewish Girl (2013) 

However, I think the type of humor and its presentation is eerily similar in both productions. Funny and hamfisted. Sometimes hilarious and sometimes just embarrassing.
