Best car to start the game with?

Hey guys, just bought the game today and having a little trouble getting going. Just wondering which car you would recomend to buy first?

Ive heard the Mitsubishi Lancer Evo I or II is the best car to begin with. I chose a gutless MX-5, and SUCKED when i started.The Evo's good points are, AWD, high power (for a start car)and high torque (i think).

Yeah, I purchased the Lancer 94 model (I think). It is the most powerful car you can afford when beggining.
