crime and poverty
Do you think that this portrays a realistic representation of crime and poverty in Brazil?
I have seen plenty of criticism about how it glamorises violence and the crime culture in the favela.
i live in brazil, but not in rio. as much as i know as someone who lives in the south and never went to a favela, it's accurate. i'm pretty sure that things in favelas aren't less violent than the movie shows. the government even lost it's power over some of them, and police are afraid to try and retrieve it.
