I loved this movie. The story and characters are all some of my favorites. But the biggest kick for me is the scenery. As a child I made a trip across 66 from St. louis to Arizona, and as an adult I have traveled I-40 west many times. The scenery is great. Parts of the old 66 still exist, and are a joy to drive. I encourage everyone to "get off the interstate" now and then and enjoy the scenery.

Friendship Is Magic
I envy you MK. I drove from NJ to Arizona twice but stayed on the interstates with the exception of a few miles on Rt. 66 but I wish I hopped on 66 in Illinois and took it as far west as I could. This has made it to my bucket list.
shareThis movie brings back similar fond memories for me as well. My grandfather is a retired judge for vintage car shows. He lives in New Mexico and my family used to travel Route 66 sometimes when going to visit. It truly is beautiful scenery.
