Roong=girlfriend?

The summaries here and on Wiki say that she is Min's girlfriend. However, and please correct me if I'm wrong because I haven't seen this for awhile, but I thought I got the impression that Min was actually an affair, that she in fact had an (unseen) boyfriend elsewhere. Am I just crazy or am I remembering correctly?

For me, that impression I had was what really made the film, and her character, speak to me. It doubled her risk, since not only was she in love with an illegal immigrant, but she was also seeing him "on the side."

The titles at the end of the film mention that she returned to her boyfriend and was selling noodles in a town near Bangkok, so that seems to indicate that she did have a boyfriend other than Min. Also, one of Min's drawings that was superimposed on the picture mentioned Roong being hit by her boyfriend, and I got the impression the boyfriend there was someone other than Min.
