Any opinions on his performance? It was hard for me to be objective, being such a big fan of his.
shareI thought he did a great job. He said he initially didn't want to play the part of a musician, but after he read the book, he really wanted this role.
shareI'm a fan of his as well, so I am perhaps biased, but I do think he did a good job.
shareI too am a huge fan, and on the whole I thought he did a great job on this film, but at some parts you could see his inexperience. The scene when he is confronted by the cop (Harland WIlliams) in the Pet Shop bothered me. The body language seemed way too forced and scripted, but then again, that may be the fault of the director. Other than that I think Dave fit the role well, and didn't really have to act too much.

well speaking of dave matthews in this movie, which by the way i thought he did great in, does anyone know where i can get the music he played during the movie? i know he didnt play that much, but what little he played i would like to hear again. if anyone can help me out it would be much appreciated.

I thought he was terrific in this film. I love the scene where he's chatting with Opal in a sing-songy voice and strumming his guitar, then gradually breaks into song. He's also very good (and very funny) in "You Don't Mess With the Zohan." I hope he makes more movies.
