about a young girl and her dog in a sleepy town in Old Florida--AnnaSophia Robb was cute and effective in the title role--definitely some slow parts tho, the Cicely Tyson scenes should have been cut--Veteran Eva Marie Saint looked every one of her 80 years

Because Of Winn-Dixie is a book I always liked because I too have shopped at Winn-Dixie twice on supermarket errands when my family used to visit my godfather when he was still alive and when my godfather needed to visit the supermarket he'd take me with him and it was fun. It wasn't until I bought the book that I learned about the movie version and so when I watched Because Of Winn-Dixie I really liked it and it's a great movie that is heartwarming and charming at the same time
