You who vote ones daily...

As of late someone has been having quite a bit of fun voting ones for our movie every single day. The thing is, the movie's not even out yet and nowhere near the number of people represented by the imdb votes have seen it. I have some ideas as to who the constant voters may be, but that's neither here nor there. I've asked IMDB to investigate and see how many of the voters were "one time only" voters and they won't do it. Cool. I realize it seems funny to you to keep voting the movie down further and further to where it's going to be in the IMDB bottom 100 before it even gets released, but... Look, I know you're mad or disgrunted at someone involved with the production. (Possibly me.) But the thing is, this voting hurts a lot of people and their careers. Sure, Zombiegeddon would never have made the imdb top 100 or won any Oscars, but it doesn't deserve the pummeling you're giving it. I know you can hide behind your layer of anonymity forever should you wish, but I'm going to ask you man to man to please consider how this fun little prank of yours is actually hurting a lot of people who spent countless dollars, hours, energy, etc. on this movie. You can't possibly have a beef with EVERYONE involved with the film, so why hurt all of them?

This movie has taken three years to complete and a lot of people have worked to accomplish that. Why make them look stupid? Believe it or not, directors look at IMDB to help decide whether or not to cast actors, and actors look at IMDB to decide whether or not to work with filmmakers. I know it's weird of me to ask you, but I don't know what else to do. I'm serious. Please stop voting all the ones. You've made your mark. Whether you think it's a bad movie or not, isn't it just something that someone went out and busted their rears to make a movie despite the odds working against them? Financed the movie out of pocket on their own with no outside help... Shouldn't that alone at least make you respect the movie enough to stop voting ones now that there are already 160 negative votes? Whoever made you mad--and again, it may very well have been me if you are who I'm guessing you are--I am genuinely sorry. But let me tell you, there are some genuinely good people who were involved with this production and they don't deserve this just because you are angry with one or two people.

Please see that your prank or revenge or whatever you consider it is hurting a lot of people. I'm completely serious, and to show you how serious, I'm including my email address here so you can air out any complaints or discuss this or whatever.

Having it in the bottom 100 might help, more people will be curious about it and it'll get more attention. It sounds weird but it's true.

I'll second that. I know loads of people (myself included) who actively try to watch anything in the bottom 100. It's publicity you can't buy... unless, of course, you pay people to vote 1s... but that would be kinda pathetic. Don't do it, kids.

I know it's not great for the reputations of filmmakers and cast, but it sounds like this is going to be by far the best film ever (no exaggeration) and I fully expect its future cult following will have far more weight than its IMDb rating.

That said, deliberately downrating a film is just plain mean. It's hard enough for films like this to get recognition because they're aimed at a very select market (I pressume. Hope I'm not offending anyone).

In closing, just make sure you get this movie out there so everyone can watch it and love it and tell their friends. I've been waiting so long to see it! Any possibility of giving us a guess at a release date? Long shot, I know.

For what it's worth, I'm a 20 year-old, Film student in England... Don't forget the UK! I know you must have much more capable marketers and distributing dudies than myself, but I'd fully recommend The Prince Charles Cinema in Leicester Square, London as a possible site for a rare British theatrical release.

I was told today that the dvd was coming out in July.

reply

Although I don't know if that means it'll come out in the UK or not...that's definitely the timeframe for North America.

Who cares? I'll import it. Life is good again!

From www.troma.com

From the creators of SLAUGHTER PARTY (but don’t hold that against them) comes this cult film’s cult film featuring Tom Savini as Jesus Christ, Brinke Stevens, Robert Z’Dar, Felissa Rose, Joe Estevez, Conrad Brooks, Ron Jeremy, Julie Strain, Lloyd Kaufman, Joe Fleishaker, William Smith, and countless others. Hell, even *beep* director Uwe Boll shows up in the beginning to warn people about how bad ZOMBIEGEDDON is. And if Uwe Boll thinks it sucks, it has to be good.

I rented the DVD not too long ago and it's eighty-or-so minutes of my life that I'll never get back. The DVD extras are rather revealing, as they consist mostly of director Chris Watson and co-writer/co-producer/co-star/overall douchebag Andy Rausch pissing and moaning about the project, the industry, film conventions, and pretty much everything in between--all the while sipping from a big bottle of vodka, no less. I'm inclined to think that the less-than-glowing feedback that the movie has received on this site is from disgruntled cast-members who had to put up with these two jerk-weeds. Quite a shame, too, considering the fact that the film had a veritable fantasy-cast of B-movie all-stars wasting their time and talent.

The movie is horrible, yes, but that's why I love it. It's blatantly bad enough to be good.

reply

I agree with Conservative Cat. Bad enough to be good! Those are some of the best movies!

This movie deserves a one everyday. IT SUCKS!!! Its not even "so bad its good" Its just all out bad. Whoever made this piece of crap wasted time and money and ripped us all off. I praise whoever is voting it a one everyday. Please keep these actors and filmakers away from anything! Thank You whoever is doing it!
