Lauren Holly's acting

Yesterday, I saw the German dubbed version on TV, and I was shocked about Lauren Holly's terrible acting. Also, the lines the script gave her were horrible and didn't fit to the 40s at all. Was it just the bad dubbing or was her performance as bad as this in the original version?
